Carnival 2026 in Koblenz: Charly’s Citycar ensures safe rides home despite peak demand

Feb 20, 2026

The carnival days in Koblenz are among the most mobility-intensive periods of the year in the region. Thousands of people are on the move at the same time, events continue late into the night, and for many celebrants alcohol is part of the festivities. It is precisely within this unique combination of celebration, crowds and challenging traffic conditions that the importance of a reliable transport service becomes clear.

In 2026, Charly’s Citycar once again successfully met this challenge. With more than 45 vehicles in continuous operation and thousands of journeys during the carnival weekends alone, our team delivered an outstanding logistical and operational performance. Particularly encouraging: the entire deployment period remained peaceful and without major incidents. For us, this clearly demonstrates that responsible mobility works when supply and demand are professionally coordinated.

For many people, carnival represents joy, community and tradition. At the same time, alcohol consumption rises significantly during this period. This is exactly where one of the most important social functions of a transport service lies: bringing people home safely when they can no longer or should no longer drive themselves. Every journey with a professional driver ultimately contributes to road safety — both for the passenger and for all other road users.

Our commitment is therefore not only to be quickly available, but above all to act reliably, safely and responsibly. Especially at night, in cold, wet conditions or dense crowds, passengers want to be able to rely on arriving home easily and securely. Many of our customers deliberately choose a transport service instead of their own car — particularly after events or longer celebrations. This decision makes a meaningful contribution to reducing risks in road traffic.

The organisational effort behind a carnival weekend is often underestimated. Dispatching, driver coordination, vehicle availability and flexible deployment planning must function precisely over many hours. Peak periods arise simultaneously at multiple locations, demand can surge unexpectedly, yet passengers still expect short waiting times. That Charly’s Citycar meets these requirements year after year is primarily thanks to the dedication of our team. Our drivers were on duty until the early hours of the morning, often providing not only transport but also reassurance, guidance and safety.

Carnival highlights particularly clearly the importance of professional passenger transport today. Public transport reaches capacity limits during peak times, parking is scarce, and many people either cannot or do not want to drive themselves after celebrations. A flexible transport service closes exactly this gap within a city’s mobility system.

We would like to expressly thank our entire team for their exceptional commitment during the festive days, as well as our passengers for their trust and their responsible decision to be driven home safely.

After carnival comes before carnival — yet Charly’s Citycar stands for safe, reliable and comfortable mobility in Koblenz and the surrounding region all year round.

Especially when it matters most.
